Laura O’Grady is a production management veteran and seasoned director with more than 17 years of national broadcast experience. Credits include the critically acclaimed documentaries Thin Ice, Recruiting for Terror and Jann Arden: Free. An experienced field director and producer, Laura has also shot in dozens of challenging locations, from Sri Lanka to Sierra Leone.


Laura is currently VP of Production for Spotlight Productions and supervises the production of TELUS Optik Local community programming, including the series Living Heathy, Family Central, Good Business and the award-winning food series EATS. Produced in Edmonton, Calgary and Vancouver, these programs celebrate the talent and tenacity of people who work with passion.


SPOTLIGHT PRODUCTIONS is currently in production on more than 180 episodes of programming for Canadian networks and in development on a number of other broadcast and theatrical projects.


Past work includes numerous lifestyle and documentary programs including Hell or High Water: Rebuilding the Calgary Stampede. SPOTLIGHT PRODUCTIONS also produces programming for a number of multimillion-dollar corporations and non-profit organizations.
