Dr. Glenn Feltham


Dr. Glenn Feltham was appointed President and CEO of the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology in 2011.  Born and raised in southern Alberta, Dr. Feltham believes in the essential role of NAIT as a polytechnic in strengthening the Alberta and Canadian economy through hands-on, technology-based education and applied research in partnership with industry. He is a dedicated proponent of NAIT’s relevant and responsive programs delivered through its four educational pillars: science, technology and the environment; health; trades; and business.


He holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Alberta, a Bachelor of Science with a major in Business Administration and an MBA from the University of Montana, an LLB from Queen’s University Faculty of Law and a PhD from the University of Waterloo School of Accountancy. He is a designated Certified Management Accountant, a Fellow of the Society of Management Accountants of Canada and was formerly a member of the Law Society of Alberta.


Prior to joining NAIT, Dr. Feltham was Dean of the I.H. Asper School of Business at the University of Manitoba. His extensive background includes law, taxation and finance, teaching and institutional administration. He has penned numerous articles in academic and professional journals and has served as president of the Canadian Academic Accounting Association.


Dr. Feltham plays an active role in the community locally, provincially and nationally. He is vice chair of the board of directors of The Citie Ballet Society in Edmonton and is a member of the United Way Alberta Capital Region Campaign Cabinet. He chaired the Taskforce for Teaching Excellence for the Alberta Ministry of Education. He is vice chair of Polytechnics Canada and serves on the governing council of the Standards Council of Canada.


Previously, Dr. Feltham was chair of Canada’s Royal Winnipeg Ballet, and served on the boards of the Crown Corporations Council of Manitoba and the Winnipeg Airports Authority Inc.
